what is everyday magic

What is Everyday Magick?

Everyday magic, or ‘real magic’ as I sometimes call it, is bringing magical practices into your daily routine and doing spell work in simple, practical ways. I’ve done elaborate spellwork before and I’ve found I’m much more likely to do a spell, and keep my full attention on it for long enough for it to work, if I keep it simple. Incorporating magic into your daily routine means you’re putting out your magical intention for much longer and you’re far more likely for that intention to take hold in the universe and work.

Everyday magic is manifesting changes in your life by using magic, and using it as often as possible.

The ritual oils I use are great for anointing candles, diffusing, rubbing on my skin and anointing other things like petition paper. But they are also awesome for putting on an aromatherapy bracelet and smelling the scent throughout the day, everyday, repeating my magical intention everytime I’m reminded by the scent.

I set up crystals around my home, and I use them when I’m doing spells and petitioning my patron goddess Hekate. But I also wear them, and I ‘charge’ them with intent. Wearing my crystal bracelets for spiritual protection means I’m always magically protected, and that I have a focal point for when I feel I need more protection. Wearing them for help with stress and anxiety is the same, but I also have a stress outlet as I can touch the beads and direct my attention to them, back to the present instead of stressing.

Everyday magic when it comes to manifesting positive changes within ourselves is an extension of the physical things we also do to bring about these changes. If you want a new job, you update your CV, search for jobs, apply for them, and go to interviews. You could help yourself find a great job by performing a simple ritual, such as visualisng your new job and what it will feel like when you get it, with a candle burning and incense going. Tell yourself you can do it, you deserve it, and that it will happen. Then you can charge a crystal or item of jewellery and carry it with you and send out the intentions you visualized during your ritual. When you go to the interview for your dream job, bring the crystal and you can tap into the self confidence you’ve built up as you KNOW you’ve got this and of the job is good for you, it’s yours.

Think of it like, decide what you want. Do a ritual to set your magical intentions and let the universe (and your subconscious) know what you want, and start bringing it to you. Then, everyday through pit the day when you remember keep doing little bits of magic and sending out your intention.
