Earthing Grounding Box – May 2021

The May box was designed to help you ground yourself and de-stress by connecting to earth. After the harvests, most of our land starts to go dormant – leaves have fallen from deciduous trees and lay on the damp ground, composting and slowly returning to earth. The harsh summer sun is replaced with storms and chilly nights and a sense of resting. While we don’t always get to hibernate or rest with the seasons we can still take some time out, rest, and connect with earth. So May’s box was all about earth. Connecting with earth, with nature, taking some time out and grounding yourself in the physical, being present in the moment.

So what was in the boxes?

For The Spell:

  • Tea Bag chamomile, honey and vanilla
  • Earthing bath soak
  • Peat moss Representing earth. This is NZ peat moss, it’s not from the non-renewable peat bogs in the UK. It’s been aired out to get rid of some of the smell, and is an awesome medium for germinating seeds come spring! It’s in a compostable bag
  • Mystery Crystals Grounding crystals for you to discover in your bag of earth, including a grounding crystal pendant. Including a little brown envelope to open after you’ve done the spell as it tells you which ones you’ve received!
  • Stainless Steel Choker Necklace This is for you to slip your tumble pendant onto if you don’t have a spare necklace chain or cord.

  • Elemental Information

The Magick Box Included:

  • 10 ml grounding ritual roller oil ‘Earth’ ritual oil. This is diluted to be skin safe
  • Hamsa lava bead clipped onto the stainless steel choker. You can clip this little lava bead onto your keyring, handbag, another necklace, or whatever it fits onto for a quick easy way to diffuse your grounding oil. Lava stone is a very grounding protective stone and the hamsa is a protective symbol.
  • Kaolin clay You can use this to represent earth, but it’s also used in cosmetics. You can mix it 1:1 with water, flower water or a herbal infusion and apply it as a face mask, leaving it on till it dries wash it off in water then follow with a moisturizer. You can also put a little bit in your bath for a silky, grounding bath soak.
  • Burdock root You can add this to incense, poppets and spell bags or spell jars
  • Offering bowl In my personal path I use a bowl of soil (or when I lived in an apartment in Melbourne, salt) to represent earth. So your bowl can represent earth at your altar, or you can use it in your spell too if you want to pour the soil into the bowl and find the crystals that way. You can also use it to leave offerings, at your altar or outside, to earth, universe, your patron goddesses and gods or whoever you work with in your practice. I couldn’t find a bowl I liked for the boxes so we did these, the inside is food safe but I wouldn’t put it through a dishwasher.

Also included was a coupon to a NZ witchy business and a link to download all the information including instructions to print off extra copies, so they can be put in book of shadows or just in case they go missing.

If you’d like to orer a bag of dirt with hidden crystals, delivered to your door (aka, the earthing/grounding spell) I have them available on the site
