Inspired by a spell where you make a paste and cover your body in it then rinse it off to cleanse your aura, I wanted something a lot simpler and way less messy for our busy lives.

The four elements also help bring about balance. They are represented by:

Earth – white kaolin clay and salt, and the feeling of the shower floor on your feet

Fire – wood smoke fragrance and orange oil, and the heat in the water

Air – smoke fragrance, and the steam rising up in your shower

Water – red sandalwood, and very literally, the water you’re bathing in

Clear Quartz – represents ether or spirit and amplifies your cleansing ritual.

The red sandalwood paste, salt and orange essential oil are the main energetic cleansers in this soap, you can use it to cleanse yourself physically as well as setting the intention of cleansing your aura, clean off the energetic muck you’ve accumulated through out the day in the shower. Perfect for after a long hard day when you’d love a ritual bath but don’t have the energy or time, and for those without the luxury of a bath tub.

To Use:

Run your shower and as you step into the water, let it flow over you and direct your attention to the water, how it is ever present in your life and nature. Take the soap and notice the scent – of smoke (air) and fire (wood and orange), consider how fire and air are ever present in life and nature. Notice the white section of the soap, salt and clay from the earth, and consider how earth is ever present in your life and nature. Gently give thanks for the balance found in nature that allows all life, and set the intention that your aura will be cleansed of all energy that does not serve your highest good. Take the soap and working from your top down, lather it over your body, visualising all the energetic muck sticking to the soap instead of your aura. When you get to your feet wash away the soap lather and the energy that no longer serves you. With a sweeping motion from your head to your feet, sweep your aura clean of the last of it three times. That’s it, you’re done, just enjoy the rest of the shower or start the next part! If you have dry or sensitive skin you may want to moisturise as kaolin clay and salt can be drying.
